Does Synergy provide speaker honorariums?
Synergy is unable to provide speaker honorariums.

How do speakers arrange for travel and hotel accommodations?
Each speaker is responsible for their own hotel and travel arrangements. Synergy is unable to provide hotel and travel reimbursements.

Are there any special hotel rates for speakers and attendees?
Yes, an appointed travel agent, A-Travel, has negotiated preferential hotel rates for speakers and attendees. Please visit www.a-travel.nl/congress.htm for information and reservations.

As a speaker, do I get free access to the conference?
Speakers and co-speakers can attend the conferences on the day of their session free of charge. If they wish to attend the other two conference days as well, then the following rule applies: per presentation one speaker is entitled to attend the full conference free of charge. One co-speaker or co-author can attend the full conference at the discounted rate of € 650. Registration includes admission to the conference and exhibition, lunch, coffee, tea and refreshments during the three days.

As a speaker, do I need to register myself for the conference?
Yes, you should register as a speaker and indicate if you plan to attend the day of your session only or the full conference. Your badge will then be ready upon your arrival at the conference venue.

What audiovisual equipment will be available in the conference rooms?
In the conference rooms a laptop, LCD projector and a laser pointer will be available. If you have any special requests for additional audiovisual equipment please contact the conference management.

Can I use my own laptop for my presentation?
Yes, if desired, you can use your own laptop during your presentation. However, in order to stay on schedule and move efficiently from presenter to presenter, it would be better to load your presentation onto the conference laptop.

When will I be able to check my presentation?
As a speaker you are welcome to use the speaker ready room in the conference area on the day of your presentation. In addition, each speaker is urged to come to the conference room at least 30 minutes before the start of the session. This allows you to meet the chairman and other speakers, discuss last minute details and establish whether there is any overlap in the presentations. This will also be the last moment to load your presentation onto the laptop. You may either bring your presentation on a USB Memory Stick or a CD Rom.

How will the conference papers be made available to conference delegates?
All presentations will be published on the Internet during a limited period of time. Conference delegates receive a web link and password to access the papers. Papers will be available one week after the end of the conference.

When will I need to submit the final paper?
Your PowerPoint presentation and a summary of your paper are due on July 30, 2007. Last minute changes to the PowerPoint presentation can still be made, however, please make sure that you bring your updated presentation with you to the conference (either on CD Rom or USB Memory Stick).
